The Secondary School in Forte dei Marmi is named after him. Bronze sculptures by Ugo Guidi are awarded every year as International Prize of Political Satire in Forte dei Marmi since 1993.

Every exibition had posters and monografic books. Two round tables were held on the artist and his work.

The life of Ugo Guidi crosses the century and his making follows the classic school, based on the sculptural tradition. With the artistical growth his artigianal ability melts with a sensible and poetic work of the surfaces.

In the 50s his classical vision turns into a romantic vision with harmonic and semplified forms according to the romanesque-tuscan sculptoral tradition and with religious views, with remembers of the etruscan-rinaissance portrait art.

In the 60s the figuration becomes more free and the surfaces have a strong space research.

In the 70S the abstraction is stronger and he reaches absolute essentialities.(See photos on the italian text).

Ugo Guidi made sculptures from stone, wood, and above all clay.
